Theme: EVERYTHING IS NEW.

VISION: To provide a catalytic growth level event, targeted for high school students who have trusted Christ seeking to challenge them to live as a “sent one” on mission with God, everyday, everywhere, forever.

CHALLENGE 2012 exists to enlarge student’s vision of the resurrected Christ and therefore walk in the fullness of a resurrected life in everything, everywhere, everyday, forever.

Challenge is an every other year growth level conference for junior and senior high students that daily combines great worship and challenging speakers with youth group dynamics for ministry outreach in the site city, training sessions on pertinent topics and recreational activities.  It is an opportunity for youth groups to travel together, to worship and learn together, to serve together,  to play together and to be challenged to grow in their faith as individuals and as youth groups – to become effective Christ followers who impact their world for Jesus Christ.

Reach NOLA Now…

The EFCA has had a presence in the New Orleans area long before Hurricane Katrina. Trinity Church and Urban Impact Ministries are each more than 20 years old. Castle Rock Community Church is 13 years old.

Since Hurricane Katrina in 2005, those ministries partnered with EFCA TouchGlobal Crisis Response for more than 5 years to continue to give the EFCA an even stronger presence in area.

It is our desire that reachNOLA will be a flood of love, compassion and service that brings transformation to the entire New Orleans metro area.

Goals

• Identify and launch five new church plants by 2012.
• Identify and launch ten new church plants by 2013.
• Strengthen existing churches and ministries.
• Establish an Equipping Center for the EFCA in the Southeast district.
• Provide a service and learning lab with a missional framework for churches to take home a biblical and practical base which will enable them to be more effective in their own communities

God has created us to bring forth fruit, fruit that remains. Learning and putting into practice what we learn are indispensable steps towards being fruitful. But in our individualized cultures, we sometimes forget that the bearing of fruit has both an individual and community aspect.
