Step 1. To start our assessment process, please submit your contact form to Bruce Redmond at email@example.com. Make sure you have reviewed all of the church planting documents on the drop down page titled “Church Start Documents“.
If you have any of the following information, please send that to Bruce:
- Other electronic assessments, such as the DISC, StrengthsFinder or Myers-Briggs. Getting your spouse’s information would also be appreciated, but is not necessary to proceed.
- Two or three preaching samples (via on-line link, electronic file, or CD/DVD).
- A Philosophy of Ministry paper (1-3 pages) that gives an overview of your mission, values, marks of a Christian, strategy, and vision for the new church.
Step 2. Go to www.churchplanterprofiles.com and complete the initial, free questionnaire. When creating your account, do so under the agency: EFCA Southeast, found in the final drop down box. Then talk to Bruce Redmond or a Church Start staff member before completing all of the assessments.
Step 3. Once the initial interview and questionnaire are completed, then complete the five remaining assessments at www.churchplanterprofiles.com. The cost will be $89.00 for all of them.
Step 4. We will then schedule an in-depth interview which will include: your knowledge of church planting, your ministry call and your desired targeted location. It is at this time that our policies and our covenant are reviewed, so make sure you’ve had time to look them over. During this conversation we will also discuss the results of your personality inventories, life experiences, vision for church planting, and fit within the EFCA. You will receive counsel on whether church planting, and particularly church planting within the EFCA Southeast, is a good fit for you.
If given the go ahead, then complete the Pre-Assessment Questionnaire (from our Church Start Documents page) for the next step, the Behavioral Interview.
Step 5. Schedule a Behavioral Interview with the Church Start team toward your final church plant affirmation. This specialized interview again focuses on Call, Character, Competencies and Chemistry within the EFCA Southeast District and the EFCA. You will find it informative, helpful and encouraging.
Finally, besides the Assessments and Interviews, there will be a need to attend the Church Planters Boot Camp when scheduled, and begin a Coaching relationship with someone agreed upon with the Church Start team.
